This non-timed run will honor our girls’ completion of the fall season. In the spirit of Girls on the Run, we celebrate everyone finding and running at their “Happy Pace”!  We also use a wave start system, due to our large numbers. Therefore, we do not time our event. if monitoring personal performance is important to you or your GOTR girl, we encourage you to wear a watch to most accurately gauge your 5K finish time.

Event proceeds benefit Girls on The Run of Dane County, Inc.

We are again offering FocalShare™ service by Focal Flame PhotographyFree digital photos for all!

Everyone’s a winner at the 6th Annual Fall Girls on the Run 5K!

Returning this Fall! GOTR Giving Food Drive

Waunakee-FoodPantryLogo_1color1-300x202

To thank the Waunakee community for hosting our event we ask that each 5K participant bring at least two non-perishable items to the Waunakee Village Center on the day of the 5K. Girls on the Run will donate the food to the Waunakee Food Pantry for their Thanksgiving Food Basket program and general needs. Last year the food pantry was delighted with the generosity of our GOTR families and we look forward to an even bigger contribution this fall.  Items of greatest need include: canned fruits, cereal/oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup, baking needs: flour, sugar, oil, cake mixes, pasta and spaghetti sauce, canned tuna, chicken, soups, boxed potatoes, peanut butter and jelly, and hygiene products: bar soap, shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste.

We get asked this a lot, so here’s the scoop on strollers and dogs: Strollers are welcome, but kindly start at the back of your assigned wave. We ADORE dogs, but sorry, they simply are NOT allowed!

Thank you to all our generous 5K partners!
